I am at Step 6 of the "Epodsfiles" step by step process for hacking the epod. Whenever I try to delete epods.exe I get a message that it cannot delete a read only file. I cannot find out how to make it a non read only file. Can someone help please?

RE:Cannot delete read only Epods.exe (modified 0 times)
1) Open the cmd.exe program in your /windows subdirectory.
2) Navigate to the subdirectory containing the epods.exe file using stock DOS commands.
3) Then type this command followed by return: attrib -r -s -h /s epods.exe
4) You may get a message about permission denied, but but ignore that.
5) Then to delete the file, use the stock DOS command this way: del epods.exe
That's bizarre. It's been about six months since I did this myself, argh. Have you tried browsing the files from your desktop PC via ActiveSync and then deleting the epods.exe file remotely using the PC?

RE:Cannot delete read only Epods.exe (modified 0 times)
You might want to try selecting the file on the epods and then pull up the "Poperties" box (pull up the keyboard, hit alt, and then click on the icon), and then there is a check box on there that says "Read Only". De-select that and see if that works.
