anyone kniw if the roms from compaq aero will work in epos? I have roms for 3.0 and pocket pc. epod is mips r4100 and aero is mips r4111

No the epod is an HPC so Pocket PC would not be compatible.

Even if it were possible -- the Compaq ROM OS does not have extensions for the USB ports, the particular touchscreen display and other things that are exclusive to the epod.
