ok I just got my epod from a guy on ebay and i went through the different hack procedures i read on geocites. Then i did what it said to install winCE 1.02 and all seemed to go well but then when i checked the system specs under control panel it says im running winCE version 2.12, what gives did i misunderstand something? also when i try to use active sync it connects and then a few seconds later tells me ive run out of memory , ive tried adjusting it but nothing seems to make a difference , any help would be apprecieted.

Well, before someone else flames you, you really should go through and search the archives.

And if you are too busy for that, I'll answer your questions now.

1. It wasn't "winCE 1.02" you installed. It was the "ePods 1.02 hack" you installed. This converted your ePods to a bastardized version of WinCE somewhere between v2.11 and v2.12.

2. You attempted to create a "partnership" when you ran ActiveSync. The ePods doesn't support partnerships. Try again and this time answer no when asked about this. Once ActiveSync is connected, you will be able to browse the ePods from your desktop, and install standard applications.

Inevitably, you will find yourself banging your head over other issues as you learn the basics on the ePods. Search the archives -- practically everything you can come up with has already been answered.
