New Epod
Connecting Epod to PC

I've just got my epod and followed the hack at http://www.geocities.com/epodsfiles/ but on hard booting the epod after adding the files, the epod tells me that there it has detected a pc card in slot 1 - even though I have removed the modem card before re-booting.

This stops me from starting intellisync as I suspect that he port is in use. Is this true? is there a way to get the epod to realise that the pc card has been removed.

Regards

Do you have a compact flash installed? If so, then that's what it is complaining about. Just click "yes" when it asks and you should be fine. Then install the "Yes" app found on the software links page, and add it to your startup group.

Thanks eggplant,

I realised that the compactflash was causing the meesage afterward. I'll install the 'yes' app once I get a fully wired null-modem cable - I think that is the reason that I'm not linking.

Thanks for your help
