Proxim vs 802.11b speed difference on epod?
Is it worth it to move to 802.11b cards from a Proxim network?

Well, since SiliconIce has succeeded in getting the SBA 802.11b cards to work with his epod this makes me wonder....

I currently have a Proxim Symphony network setup for my epod and laptop, using a win2k machine as a router/bridge to provide my wireless devices access to the Internet and my wired LAN....Will I see a noticeable increase in speed on the Epod switching to the SBA cards? Are these cards more power-management friendly than the Proxim 4402-05 cards (they are power hogs, btw)? I know that my laptop will be zippier, and I may take the plunge for that reason alone, but it would be nice if the epod performance increased....

Any thoughts?
