Just though I would let you guys know that
there is another choice in ebook reader
software available. Its called peekabook
and it has a 15 day expiration but it is
only $12 to register. Its available at: http://www.oopdreams.com/ce/peekabook/
I have also been trying other software such
as Starbuck (an ebook reader), Picture
Perfect (picture viewer), and Gigabar (program launcher/task switcher). Gigabar
works, but I don't see it has having any benefit, since it hides the tray where I keep
Tap-Right, Calligrapher and the memory readouts. It also hides the battery meter
and watchout if you start the epods keyboard.
It will move the Gigabar to the middle of the screen and you have to exit gigabar and the change the task bar to autohide to get it back to the bottom of the screen.
I use MobiPocket and Palm Reader in addition
to peekabook. I really like reading ebooks
on the epod, I just wish they didn't charge
so much for them. 6.95 or higher is more than
a bookstore charges for a lot of paperbacks!
You would think that without the cost of
the paper, printing and distribution that
ebooks would be less expensive.
