i am looking to buy a case for my ePod (which is on its way) and was wondering what the approximate physical measurements are as mine does not come with a case...i was looking at this from RhinoSkin

It is pretty close to 8.25 x 9.75 x .75 (inches)

If you are planning on adding a wireless ethernet card, don't forget that they all have an antenna portion that sticks out from the slot. The size varies from card to card. Just something to keep in mind.
