getting rid of big keyboard

Is there any way to get rid of the big keyboard when toggling through with the keyboard button. It goes from small keyboard to big keyboard to no keyboard. I want to just turn the little keyboard on and off. I was thinking there might be a registry setting.

get calligrapher and use the small keyboard that it comes with (icon in systray)....
That way you just click the stylus...not the button....and there's no big keyboard.
