I was just checking out the ".com" cached lookups on my DNS server and noticed an entry for "epods.com". Knowing that I hadn't tried to access that site recently, I searched for "epods.com" in the registry and found an "epods" key that seems to be added to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\Tcpip\Hosts every time I access the Web from the ePods.
Here's the entry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\Tcpip\Hosts\epods.com]
"ExpireTime"=hex:e0,92,eb,e7,7e,8b,d0,01
"aliases"=hex(7):77,77,77,2e,65,70,6f,64,73,2e,63,6f,6d,00,00
"ipaddr"=hex:3f,fb,06,8a
Anybody have any idea where it is getting the "epods.com" information from? Is there a HOSTS file on the device? I can't seem to find it and DEFINITELY don't want this thing "phoning home" every time I use it.
