WindowsXP comes with a HPC client on the CD for Terminal Services. The date appears different than the one I'm currently using. Is there a difference? I'm too worried about losing my remote desktop connection to test it out.
Also, has anyone had any luck tweaking the Remote Assistance settings regarding audio in XP? XP has setting to keep adudio at the host or send it to the client (or use no audio).... anyone?
Unfortunately there is no way possible to "tweak" XP audio for the Epods. It is necessary for the client to be RDP5.1 for this to work. The terminal svcs client for the Epods is RDP5.0 . This is the limiting factor for the Epods. The RDP 5.1 is only for PocketPC.
It seems the only way to get sound is to run Citrix Metaframe XP on w2k server or xp.net.
I've been meaning to insrall either of these for a couple of weeks now !
