Just got an Epod. Rather interesting. It was nice to see a lot of the Hack info supplied by the groups here. Including the 102 and 204 install, (which went rather nicely), and other nice programs. I have a few more questions tho...
I just got my hands on a NE2000 native support network card. I talked with one of our embedded systems guys here, and talked with him about the comms issues. I am grabbing one of the linksys ec2t cards. Let's see how well it works. I see from the site, it's supposed to work, so I'll see tonight.
While looking around, I have seen some discussion about LinuxVR and trying to run it on the epod. Tim thought it was a long shot, but did mention looking into NetBSD. Which I did. It appears there is a port to run on the MIPS chip. (http://www.netbsd.org/Ports/hpcmips/)
My question to you guys is this... Have any of you run this port on your epod. If you have, please follow up, I would like to avoid the pitfalls of having to relearn what has already been done. I see quite a few useful comments from hackers, but I would like to get a feel for the implementation.
Is there any movement on a Windows CE 3 or Pocket PC port to apply to the Epod? I haven't seen much info in the direction...
Thanks, Ken
