I have a few memory ICs kicking around that I bought from Avnet a while back with the intention of upgrading my Epods memory to 32meg. I ordered them 6+ months ago (while they were still available), but have just now gotten around to actually performing the upgrade. My upgrade was completely successful, and very easy I might add!

I originally ordered 10 ICs, and having used two of them for my Epods, I have 8 ICs (4 pairs) still available. These chips are brand new! and will be shipped to you in an IC tray.

Price is $20/pair + $4 shipping by priority mail.

NOTE: This is NOT a kit, it's just the memory ICs. Although my upgrade worked great, I make no guarantees as I'm not the one who's doing the upgrade to your Epods =) Also, this memory is for use with Rev 1.2 motherboards so please check your rev first.

Thanks!

Hi!

I have an ePods one with a rev. 1.1 MoBo. There is space for more memory chips on it. Anyone knows if the memory hack is possible with these specifications or is it only possible with rev 1.2 MoBos?

twein: The key to the memory upgrade is to make sure that the memory that you add is as fast or faster than the memory currently on the ePods. If your ePods has a memory part number that ends in TC70 then you need 70ns or faster memory. If the memory part number ends in TC1L or TC1H then you need 100ns or faster memory.

More info on the memory upgrades can be found here:

BTW, the site is not up to date. I am no longer selling the kits. I'm still doing the upgrades. However, my memory supply is just about depleted. When it is gone, I'll only do upgrades if the customer supplies the memory.

Electronics run on smoke, if you let the smoke out they won't work
