eMbedded VB 3.0
Yet another thing that needs fixing...

Has anyone had success using eVB 3.0 to write programs for the ePods?

If so, what dll or other files do you need to run them? I have been trying to run the programs on the device from the eVB IDE without success. It transfers files to the ePods then the ePods just sits there. When I double click on the .vb file it doesn't know how to handle it.

Hey Rudy,

I hope you you find this posting. I have sucessfully programmed in VB and C++ for the epods. Check this post:

http://www.linux-hacker.net/cgi-bin/UltraBoard/UltraBoard.pl?Action=ShowPost&Board=EpodsOne&Post=617&Idle=0&Sort=0&Order=Descend&Page=0&Session=

The only bad thing it's been at least 6 months and I can't recall diddly. Luckily on my epods storage card I set up a folder that said VB runtime dll. I think I was experimenting with what dlls needed to be in the windows directory when running VB and what win ce could live without. Anyway, the dlls in my folder were as follows:

mfcce211d, olece211, pvbdecl, pvbform2, pvbhost2, pvbload, vbscript, vbsen

Also, how are you doing it. If I remember correctly, I made and tested in the emulator, changed over to the hp pro(or maybe it said mips) and then it auto packaged the dlls and the program over the null modem cable. I then moved the program off the epod and onto the storage card to save space.

I hope that helps. If you read my post I was trying to inspire some epod programmers but to no avail. I hope you get it working.

Where did you get the dll's for this experiment? I have found some of them on the various ePods sites but not all of them.

Some of the DLL's might be totally unrelated to VB. Unfortuantely I do not have embedded 3.0 loaded on my computer anymore to tell you for sure how to do it. I could have sworn that when you were done with developing in the emulator that you switched something over to the HPC and there was a checkbox to include the DLLs and then embedded 3.0 sent the program and the dlls over the null modem cable. If that doesn't help let me know and hopefully I will have some time next week to dink around with it.
