I finally managed to win an epods on eBay. I plan on using it in my kitchen as an Internet terminal (802.11b), recipe displayer, and if possible interface it with a barcode scanner. The unit that I got has been partially hacked, so I would like to know how to return it to it's original state (so I can hack it on my own from scratch). Also, I have a spare Proxim RangeLAN-DS 802.11 card, will it work with the ePods device? Next, does anyone know of a barcode scanner that I can interface with the ePods? Finally, if anyone has any favorite software that they recommend, I'm always looking for new uses for my "toys." Thanks! :)

Try a cuecat barcode reader. I modified a USB one
from RadioShack: http://www.cexx.org/cuecat.htm#decode

They are free and it seems to work well, just input to
pocket word.

hello lchuck. congrats. Regarding your question on returning it to the original state, if it was "partially hacked," then maybe you can return it by doing a full reset; holding down the power button while you press the reset hole on the back. In regards to your other question, if no one else replys, try using the Search function of this board. You can find loads of information that people have discuss/discover from awhile back.
