Problem with IE

I've managed to set my epods up with my Linksys wireless card after following the instructions in this forum and it seems to be working fine. I can ping the unit from the desktop and can run VNC to connect to my main machine - albeit painfully slowly.

The problem I have is that I'm unable to get IE to work at all. I bought the unit second hand a few weeks ago and it was already premodded. When I start IE it comes up with a very basic UI and will not accept any addresses at all, even those on the local network. How can I tell what version I have installed? The menu items are File, Edit, View, Go, Favourites (which doesn't work). It's almost as if it's not really IE.

I've entered the registry hack for a proxy and have given it the details of my desktop proxy but it just doesn't want to know. Is there anything I can do to diagnose the problem further?

Thanks.

Lee.

My \Windows\iexplore.exe file is 72.5K and it's IE4. The other version of IE has a much smaller filesize (16K or something).

If I were you I'd upgrade to IE4 be following this link: http://www.geocities.com/epodsfiles/software.html#shellie4

Good Luck!
