NEW - ePods1XP Hack based on v2.04 Hack! (modified 2 times) PTCheezer Profile | Email You can download the Upgrade or Full version of this hack from the file section at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/epods/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Epods1XP Hack Upgrade Version 1.00! (Upgrade of v2.04 hack) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- - =REQUIREMENTS = ---------------------------------------------------------- You must have already applied v2.04 of the ePods hack at some point. This version of ePods1XP will update and add some system files and it will make the necessary changes to the registry. Try the full version of ePods1XP if this hack does not work for you. This hack does not require a CF card and keeps pre-installed programs to a bare minimum. - =PURPOSE = --------------------------------------------------------------- I know there are other hacks out there that technically accomplish more than I have done here, but my purpose in making the ePods1XP hack was to give the ePod the most pleasing starting environment that I could. I like eye candy and therefore I like XP, so it seemed a natural choice to emulate the look and feel (and sounds) as much as I could. - =FEATURES = -------------------------------------------------------------- NEW XP System Icons! No More Annoying Mouse Cursor! No More Annoying Screen Click! Start Menu Shortcuts Renamed to Their Full Names! TapRight Installed by default and Launches at Startup! ActiveSync Default Speed Set to 57600kbps! (PC Link) Control Panel Hard Button is Now Contrast and Brightness Instead! (ezex.exe) Upgraded to Internet Explorer 4 and Fixed .HTML and .HTM Icons! Wait till you can get that one! :) Here's what I have documented so far... There are a few more freeware apps that I didn't list yet. I need to finish up the documentation and it'll be done. The new icons look like a million dollars! All of the applications will be able to survive a hard-reset as they are either copied back to the \Windows folder, or they are on the Storage Card. All you'd have to do is re-import the registry file after a hard reset and you're off and running with all the apps again! v3.5 - (The Applications Version!) More XP icons in the Start Menu! New XP icons in Internet Explorer! New background wallpaper with ePods1XP logo! Moved Utilities and Games to Storage Card.
