Hi . I'm Trying to playback MP3's on my e Pod. I've tried xaudio, utopiasoft's hum, and pocket player. All of them have problems streaming (playing) music from a networked drive. Frequent skipping... Is there a setting I should change or something else to try???
Just wanted to let you know I had that problem too... I was using Xaudio. I wasn't able to fix it. I wonder if you'll have to downsample the MP3s or something. Too bad you couldn't use a Shoutcast server and Winamp or something. Then you could choose different bitrates on the server settings and you wouldn't have to change your mp3s... Let me know if you come up with a solution.
I fear that the ePod is using up too much CPU dealing with network and xaudio functions at the same time. I don't think it's a question of bandwidth...
Hmmm, I tried xaudio way back and didn't notice a problem. I had hack v2.04 playing 128 bitrate mp3s over SMC wireless hardwares. Sorry if my post is of no use.
I'm using a 11 mbps wireless connection with the hack v2.04 trying to play 128 bitrate mp3s. That's the specs for mine, I'm using a 128 meg compact flash to free up the systems memory for applications but nothing seems to help, I guess this baby just can't do MP3's...
