Well, I got my new ePods today, and in the process of performing some hacks on it, I deleted the epods.exe file from the epods system folder. That, in conjunction with a hard boot, has rendered my epods pretty much useless. When I boot up, I get the calibration screen, and then an error message- "could not copy files from \ePods System\IFC". This is a phrase I've read a hundred times while searching the forum for a solution to this.... Do I have any feasible options? Is there any way to load a virgin epods backup onto CF and 'flash' the ROM? Any help would be appreciated....

You probably have to do the jkgamer recovery procedure. Here is the original thread. You should follow the second set of instructions from jkgamer (steps 1 to 23)

I have some pictures of the DOC disable switch hack on my (woefully out-of-date) website:

If all else fails, send me an email at smoke_liberator at yahoo dot com and I'll try to walk you through it.

Thanks for the help.... I followed the instructions (with shaking hand and sweating brow) and ta-da! I'm now transferring files over to my ePods via ActiveSync. Worked like a charm! Thanks for your help!

Hi, I made the ePods1XP hack and I would be very interested if you could tell me which hack (apps or no apps) you tried to install and with as much detail as possible your process for installing the hack. I haven't had any problems with the hack and I know other people are using it, so I'd like to try and locate the issue so it doesn't happen to other people. The hack doesn't do anything "tricky" all it does it make the 2.04 hack pretty basically. :)
