Can someone post updated links for Calligrapher and/or MS Transcriber and Orinoco Silver ?

It's frustrating esp when companies update their sites and post new stuff that doesnt work with our stuff.

If u need a place to host the files, drop me a line.

thanks,

p.s has anyone tried using RealVNC or TightVNC with their epods? I've experimented with that on almost every platform and it seems fine. What i did was after installing epodsXP hack + apps, I installed the java (pjavawince.mips.CAB) and i thought it should work, connected via serial for now cos havent set up wireless or lan or dialup yet.

displays a big [x] like missing picture in IE4.

HELP! I'm getting depressed with the setup of Epods. :( takes forever to download via RS-232 Serial from my computer. it's driving me insane! anyone got a better idea? thanks again.

The files you mentioned should be available on the Yahoo Groups board now.

I looked into TightVNC because I wanted the newer compression method it uses, but there was no WinCE port last time I checked.

You installed java, but it's for apps, not applets in IE. That means that installing that does not make IE do java. It means you should be able to run java programs natively. I haven't played with it though, so I don't know how well the java stuff works.

Yeah the serial takes forever. What I've done in the ePods1XP hack is make it go faster than it used to though, but it's still kind of slow compared to things like USB. Sorry, not much you can do about that I think.
