I was looking on the web for a site that may have information on how to "hack" the ePOD screen/touchscreen and hook it up to my computer thorugh the DB15 port. Anyone know if this can be done? I've seen it performed with a PSone LCD screen so figured since I have a ePOD that I don't use, I could use the screen elsewhere!

What you want to do is not impossible. However, at the very least it would be hard and expensive.
It might be a better idea to sell the ePods and use the money to buy a small TFT monitor. If you got a good price for the ePods and a good deal on the monitor you probably would have a few bucks left over after you're done.

Very true but what I am attempting to do is not for my home computer. I'm actually looking at putting the screen inside my car with a carputer that I build like the ones talked about on www.mp3car.com! The screen on the ePOD is a good size for this project and it is just sitting around! I don't use the ePOD due to it's limitations but that screen looks pretty good! But then again, your suggestion may be a good one.. It's just alot of the TFTs that I see in that price range of an ePOD aren't as good. A 7" TFT with touchscreen capabilities is $429 from DCustoms and it looks like lesser quality than the one on my ePOD!

I would suggest that you try your ePods in the car before you spend time and money trying to hack the screen. The DSTN display washes out in even moderately bright light. TFT displays are usually a bit better. You really want a daylight readable TFT display, but now we are talking big bucks.
You may want to try buying a cheap TFT panel and putting a stronger backlight in it. Check out this eBay auction. Another option is here. Either of these options may be better than hacking up a perfectly good ePods.
