Hello everyone.. I just received my epod today from ebay (probalby bought it from someone who has been here before). Anyway, looks like there isn't much activity these days, so I'm putting my faith in Netbsd.

BUT.. just in case someone is still hoping for new things for this particualr pad, do you think the Mips proc in the e-pod could handle SIP? The real question is could it handle the audio compression. I don't think the networking would be much of an issue and those are where most of the brainpower come into play. I have seen some sip apps for windows ce (well.. one that is finished) but I'm thinking if this is possible, it will be with bsd or linux).

Anybody got any thoughts?
I think the epod would make a killer phone. It's really the shape of the epod that would make a cool phone. Wish there were something better under the hood though. Picture your epod hanging on the wall with some type of wireless headset reciever (bluetooth or some rf deal that hooks into the standard audio in/out). Cool color caller id.. doubles as mp3 control and mr. house stuff. IAX protocol for video calls from some hot chick who also has an epod phone thing. man... what a life. This e-pod company... They're gonna make it!

:D
