Looking for MS & Other Software for ePod
Just bought an ePod from overstock.com and am looking for software to enhance it.

I just bought an ePod and have performed the various hacks. I love the form-factor, but am having trouble finding software to run on it. Most of what I'm looking for is referenced on various ePod websites, but the links are long since broken. Some of the software I'm looking from Microsoft and is no longer available on their website. I am looking for: Pocket Excel (I have SpreadCE,) MS Transcriber, inbox, calendar, tasks, InkWriter, Voice Recorder, Solitaire, etc. I have looked at all my exe's and don't think that I already have any of these.

Any files, pointers, or help is appreciated!

Jim

Check the files section

Pocket Excel – not available
SpreadCE – great alternative
MS Transcriber – should be in one of the hacks
Inbox – Pmail is in one of the hacks
calendar – simple calendar is in BeePod
tasks – might be in BeePod
InkWriter – Caligrapher is in one of the hacks
Voice Recorder – I think this is in one of the hacks
Solitaire and Freecell - available for my epod ‘BeePod’ hack

Check the File Library

If you think you want to try BeePod, first read all of the problems users had installing it on the Yahoo Group. It works great but it is more complicated to get it installed.

I got my new epods up to the point of istalling "ePods1XP hack" and found that nothing I was looking for would run.

Basically I was looking for solitaire type games and an Ebook reader. Mobipocket CE wouldn't install and none of the games I found would install.

Rather than take the big step of installing the hack, I decided I would rather have my money back so I returned it to its origional configuration and sent it back.

I would have installed the hack if the price of the ePods One was about $25.

I will stick with the Palm IIIxe I bought on Ebay for $35. It does all I want but not in high resolution color.
