Battery life - hooking it up to 12v

Has anybody tried wiring an e-pod directly to 12v. The battery on mine only lasts about 5 minutes and it would be nice to run it from the car cigarette lighter. My only concern is the e-Pods runs on 10v rather than 12v.

I would try 6 volts before trying 12 volts. The battery pack is 7.2 volts, 2700ma. The power brick is 10 volts. Should be easy and inexpensive to find a car adapter at 6 volts that fits your epod. I have one; 6v 500ma. The plug fits my epod and a PPC.

I am pretty sure the epods battery pack is made up of "A" cell batteries. Nmhi 7.2v 2700ma (6 "A" cells in series).

I haven't taken apart my battery pack to know for sure.
