I am a new Epod user. I recently purchased one on Overstock.com. So far I love it. I did the Version 1.02 easy hack. I like the Epod even more now. I'm considering doing the Windows XP hack next. I have ran across one issue. Are there any updated web browsers other than IE4? Using IE4, I am getting the following error "Unable to establich secure connection" when I try to logon to read my yahoo mail or logon to Ebay. Is there anything that can be done to resolve this problem? Any info is greatly appreciated.
make sure u are using the right dll. When i installed mine (i use the WL100 driver) I was given the choice between a secure and unsecure driver. I have not used the secure driver i dont use the epod for anything that requires a secure connection as of yet.
Download 128bitHPC.exe from the epods Yahoo Group. It upgrades schannel.dll in the Windows folder. After you upgrade it, copy the new schannel.dll to your IFC folder so that you always get the new one even after a reset.
I can log on to Yahoo Mail and eBay when I use the new schannel.dll.
