Stylus/touch screen 'clicking'. . . how to get rid of?
Epods One

New MessageStylus/touch screen 'clicking'. . . how to get rid of? (modified 0 times) Cxl99
I have completed a search of this, but didn't turn anything up.

Is there a way to turn off the inherent 'click' sound everytime the screen is touched on the ePods? Thanks in advance.

yes.
you need to go to the settings that pop up from pushing the far right button on the top.
If you have hacked version 1, the easy one, open up to your files under /windows/ and start ezex.exe. that gives you the same settings window. click the checkbox marked, "audio mute" or something to that effect. and that does it.

I have found that after clicking the "audio mute" checkbox, I have to turn off (or suspend) the machine (not a soft-reset) before it becomes silent.

cheers,

Thanks, I figured the mute just didn't work. Power cycle works no need to power cycle to turn mute off - sound on.

What I really want is all system sounds, but NO click.......

Has anyone figured out how to *just* turn off the annoying click sound, but leave everything else?

To enable or disable ePods screen tap clicks (and ONLY screen taps):

1) using Registry Editor, go to:

-HKEY_CURRENT_USER
 -ControlPanel
  -Volume
   -Screen

2) to enable screen taps, set value to 1, to disable set value to 0

3) go to Control Panel, Volume & Sounds, tap OK.

This should put the changes into effect.

nice. Thank you thank you thank you.

I now am encouraged to do some more registry hacking.
