Hey all. Whan I tried to record with my pod I found the audio level way low. Since I had no way to raise the mic gain I thought of something else. My pod had a lot of excess plastic partly covering the mic hole. So with a drill bit and a bit of twisting by hand I now have a larger hole for the mic to hear through. It seems to work better and it sure looks better. I did mine with the case still together from the front side. Doing it this way requires a lot of caution and not much pressure on the drill bit. The mic' is set well below the plastic you want to remove so with care you shouldn't have any problems. Good luck.
