DNS not working on NAT (Win2000 Srv)

New MessageDNS not working on NAT (Win2000 Srv) (modified 0 times) Sendero
Well, after a bunch of trial and error I was able to get net connectivity. I have an SMC Access Point and a Linksys netcard. I am using the generic netcard drivers since I don't have a null-modem cable yet, and thus can't use ActiveSync to install files.

Anyway, I have the ePods getting an address assigned fine. I cannot get it to resolve DNS names though. If I know an IP address then I am able to hit it in the browser, but that is it.

I can resolve names of machines on my home network, but not of any machines external to my network.

Any ideas?

Try assigning the DNS server addresses manually (network control panel). Not all DHCP delivers DNS configuration info.

Yup, my Win2k box will resolve names. If I use any of the four PCs in my private net, I am able to resolve internal and external names. With the ePods, I can only resolve internal names. very wierd.
