For mobile operation, the Radio Shak #273-1863 cigarette lighter adapter with the "B" Adaptaplug works fine. (Get the plug polarity right the first time!) Though the adapter is rated at only 9 volts at 1 amp, it will recharge from 20% to 100% in two hours, and maintain full battery with backlight on continuously. Not bad for $13 plus tax.
(I don't have any interest in RS, but I ought to be a major stockholder based on the bucks I have spilled there!)

You say it's only rated for 9V, but the epod needs 12V?
Could this cause a problem in any way?

Underpowering it shouldn't be a problem... that is unless it won't turn on :) - just make sure you get the polarity right on the plug.
I have an old Radio Shack lighter adapter that may no longer be available, but if it is, it not only has a real 10V output option, it also has a "hole" so you can daisy-chain a second lighter adapter onto it. Indispensible for using GPS on the ePods (so you can power the GPS that way too). The catalog number is #270-1504 and I just bought a "B" adaptaplug last night for it and confirmed that it works.
