Ok, I have a memory dump (hex file) for a 2.11 device that has all the goodies I'm looking for. Now the problem is, does anyone know how the file structure works? If someone could point me at a reference, I should be able to pick out the needed files by hand.
I would start by doing a dd or equivalent copy of the image to a CF card and see if the filesystem is recognized and useable. I suspect it will not be that easy since the filesystem used for a RAM disk is probably different than that used for permanent storage like a CF card.
I would check the linux development tools for other CE devices. They may have a compatible filesystem that runs under linux. Or at least they may have some documentation on accessing a RAM partition and how the thing is organized.
