|RE:Sharp Tripad vs. Epods (modified 0 times) ||katz|
|Enough already with the Sharp Tripad. If you're trying to convince yourself that these devices are functionaly better than an ePods, get a laptop. First of all, the Tripad has a slower processor than the ePods. Anyone who owns an ePods knows this is somewhat annoying when trying to pull down web pages with heavy graphics. With the Tripad, I would imagine the wait is excruciating. Secondly, try propping the Tripad on your knee and type an e-mail while sitting on the couch, you can't do it. The Tripad, like a laptop, is meant to be used on a table top. Lastly, Tripads and ePods are not the same price. If you do your homework, you can still find ePods for around $250. Last I looked, Tripads are averaging $385 for a used one. Also, I own a somewhat expensive laptop which I use for work, but when it comes to simplicity of design and ease of use, I reach for me ePods while lounging around the house. One more thing. I believe this site is dedicated to ePods users sharing information. I'm sure there are other BBS's for Tripad users if your looking for information on them. Thanks, but no thanks. I keep my ePods for quite some time.|
Also, Also, The Tripad providing 50% longer battery life over 8 hours (ePods, which I have confirmed) is absolute nonsense. Even the Transmeta chip is hoping to maintain battery life for that long.
