 | Change the battery shutdown timeout (modified 0 times) | profeign | |
| I like to use my ePods on battery power, and since the NiMH battery is seriously long-lived when you're not using peripherals, I think y'alls might want to know how to set the timeout to greater than 5 minutes, especially if you like to read eBooks without the AC adapter. Open your registry editing program and go to the key:
HKLM/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/Power
Then change the BattPowerOff value to something big, like 1800 (half an hour) (it's in seconds to power off) (and don't worry, you don't have to understand hex :) ). Zero should work to set the value to infinity, but it doesn't seem to work for me. While you're in there you can change the value so it'll turn off if it's plugged in after whatever period of time you specify.
Soft Reset and you're done! | |
