| Well, depending on what your car puts out voltage wise, it might work to just hook it up. If you lose power, no big deal because it just switches to battery. I know that I-Openers could run at the 12-14 volts that cars put out even though their bricks put out 19v DC. That said, I'm no electrician (by a long shot), and I imagine there might be some problems with inputting about 50% more power than the brick would. I'm guessing you could rig up an easy device with resistors to bring it down to 10V, but I wouldn't rely on my advice to make something like that :) ... either way, it'll be a heck of a lot easier than boosting the power like you had to do with the I-Opener if you wanted sound. | |
