ActiveSync uninstall does not work with 2.04

New MessageActiveSync uninstall does not work with 2.04 (modified 0 times) Yoshii
Probably has something to do with how everything now resides in the Wince_Files directory. Is there any way around this? I installed a crappy program, and now can't get rid of it using ActiveSync. And I don't know how to discover the exact installed files to delete. Please help me regain precious Epods space.

You're pretty much out of luck on this one....
What I did was put the 204 hack on the Compact flash .. then proceeded to load as much $h!t as possible onto the epod saving it to main memory and a PCMCIA Flash Card, so I could test-drive the limited software out there for the Epod.

Played with it for a week... decided which I like and which were trash basically. Do a hard reset and use the Compact Flash to put the hack back on the epod (as per Randys pages http://www.geocities.com/epodsfiles/software.html). Since the hack is already on the Compact Flash....no problem. You have a fresh install, then load the software you will use the most....

There is no and I mean no simple way to remove applications from the epod, since there is no real partnership with ActiveSync, so theres no way to keep track of the stuff you put on it either, No backups yet either.

So save your work on the external memory devices, or guess what.....you're out of luck

Thanks so much for the response. So is there at least a way to figure out what was installed so I can manually delete it myself?

Heck, I did version 1 hack and I can't get uninstall to do anything. What I started doing is remembering what time it is when I install a program. Then if I want to get rid of it, I sort the Windows dir by date and pick all the files that were created at that same time.
