faux hosts file
How resolve names of machines in your local network not on DNS

New Messagefaux hosts file (modified 0 times) Stephen
Profile
I have several machines inside my firewall that I want the epods to communicate with. i got tired of typing in the ip address and went sleuthing. In the registry,
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\Tcpip\Hosts\host name
expire Time
aliases
ipaddr

The ip address must be entered in hex as a binary value. If expireTime is not entered, then it does not expire out of the registery.

It is nice to be able to contribute rather than just lurk.
