hmm...sorry for the double post, but apparently I put my name in the "subject" field. That's the 2nd time i've done that...

Anyone here have Monopoly CE?
On the epodssoftware page, it says that it works on the epods, but there is not a link to it.
Someone must have gotten it if it has been tested.

Yep, I was the one that posted that it works, but at the time the Hasbro site was down....now I can't find reference to it anywhere on their site (for the CE version). It is not share/free ware...so if you can find it - it does work.

email me at boykster@jetcity.com for info on where to find it...:P

Okay, since I've received more than just a few emails about monopoly on the epod...the file is now available at:

www.#########.com in the iopener/iopener account. check in the folder wince monopoly. There is just a single cab file, but transfer it to your pod, double click it, and you're all set!

Cheers,

Boykster-

Have you gotten this to work full screen? Mine only works half screen, but the readme says to autohide the taskbar. . .so I think it should be full screen.

Thanks,
ouzome

no, only half
it's for HPC 640x240 res i believe
on that res, to see the whole thing, the start bar has to be hidden

It does seem that it is now gone....I will either re-up it to f r e e d r i v e in the same place, or find a new home for it.....

will post when I have found a home for it.

Well, it's back up at the same site...this time it is in the DOLLY directory....same file name Monopoly.4000.cab

And yes, it only runs 1/2 screen. This version is for HPC...I might have a couple of other resolution versions, but they would have a similar problem, only using 1/2 screen horizontally (instead of vertically) as they are for PPC's. If anyone's interested, I might be able to fish out the other versions.

Can you by chance post the PPC version to? I'd love to use it with my Compaq Aero!

Thanks! - Dekaner

Jone:

Go to www.f r e e d r i v e.com and login with the user/pass of iopener/iopener....you don't need to create your own acct. Then look in the DOLLY folder, the file will be obvious (as long as it hasn't been deleted)

Dekaner:

I will see if I can find the .exe that contains all the versions...If I can find it, I'll find a home for it.

Thanks for the freedrv info got the file and transferred it to the epod via cf. I tried it both ways double clicking as a cab and exe but no luck maybe I'm not doing it right. Maybe if someone could explain this to me it be great I'm new to it, but trying. I'm glad to have the file eitherway now it's getting it going which is stopping me.

Have you applied any of the shell hacks? Have you installed any .cab files before onto you epod directly from the epod?

Otherwise, it sounds like the file was corrupted during one of the transfers...you should be able to just double click it and go...

No, I haven't done any of the shell hacks just the basics if even that. I'm pretty technical just haven't had much time to play around with the unit except for a few games which were installed using active sync and surfing the net. Haven't installed any .cab's either. How far am I from getting this game to work. Any advice you have would be great. Did install a few .dll's a while back.

Maybe I'm ridiculous, but I can't seem to get ######### to work right. I select the Monopoly cab file and hit the download button. It brings some popups and finally a save dialog appears, but it saves a file called getfileframeset.html instead of the monopoly file. What's wrong?
03-11-2001 12:25:39

New MessageRE:Monopoly CE (modified 0 times) dartmouthjeff
ok, nevermind. I figured out how to make it work, if I just keep hitting open file instead of save as for the html files it wants to save, eventually the monopoly dialog will apear.

I know that there are a couple of threads that explain how to associate cab files with the proper program for installing them...

I'd dig em up, but I don't have the time right now :/ Otherwise, installing any of the shell hacks will also enable this functionality I believe..

Hmm.

iopener/iopener doesn't work on Free Drive .com anymore - would love to get the app though...

Any ideas where else?
