Activesync Error

New MessageActivesync Error (modified 0 times) osuuma
Hi,

I am having a problem connecting to my desktop using activesync. I have the right cable and I have configured both the ePods and the desktop ports correctly. It seems when I double-tap the PC Link icon, Activesync opens on my desktop, a connection is established and then about two seconds later, the connection is dropped. If I re-initiate the connection, an error window opens, saying something about winsock.dll and a 10054 error. I reinstalled winsock.dll and this did not help.

It is wierd, it makes the connection, and then two seconds later drops it.

The desktop has Win98se. Any ideas what is up?

Thanks

how long is your cable? is it connected well into the PC and the ePods? how about noise: are you passing the cable over a power strip or other power cables? did you make sure the two devices are set to the same speed? try lowering the speed (if you are trying to activesync at 115200 or something high like that) and try again.
