hi, I have a 1200 and my stylus will work fine on the scratchpad and on the logo screen(to get to the bios) but lately it does not work as a mouse in windows. I have loaded pen services and I am running win98. can anyone help?
When my pen stops working, I just remove and reinstall Pen Services. Go into control panel, Add/Remove Programs->Windows Components and unclick "Pen Services for Windows 95". Then reboot and reinstall Pen Services via Add/Remove Programs->Windows Components->Have Disk. You'll have to reboot one more time and then the pen should be back.
When my pen stops, I click on the brightness buttons on the edge to see if windows is the problem or the pen...sometimes that is all that is needed to wake up the pen, sometimes I have to unscrew the pen and put it back together to make a good contact with the battery.
Haven't yet had a problem with win98 and the new video drivers.
