Got everything loaded and workin great on win98se. My pen worked a couple of times when readjusting the two halves of it but since has not worked at all. I think the battery is dead but I can't get the battery out of the top to replace it , anyone have any SUGGESTIONS???

But you are able to unscrew it ?
The battery just came out from mine when I did that. You might want to try to shake it a bit or get a magnet pen to pry it out.
Don't want to worry you, but when batteries are stuck it could be a sign that they've leaked.

Mine did the same thing. When you unscrew the two halves look at the tip halg and see how much of the circuit board shows at the open end. If it is about 1/4" or more then you have the same problem I did. In mine the threaded section broke into two parts and one part stayed inside the battery end of the pen, stopping the battery from coming out. You can try to unscrew this portion using something inside the battery part, maybe the eraser end of a pencil would work. I discovered this one mine be tapping the battery end, rather hard, on a table thinking that the battery might have swollen and lodged in the pen. After a couple taps both battery and threaded section came out. I am going to try gluing the threaded section back on but I don't know how well it will work. Luckily I have a spare pen that came with my stylistic 500. Wrong pen for the 500 but right for the 1200.

Got it Fixed.

First, I drilled out the battery, it had corroded inside. Next I went and got a replacement AAAA battery put it in and since the threads for the pen were striped I took a bit of hot glue and put the two halves back together. This way it wont be absolutely impossible to change the battery again in the future. All in all i love my Fujitsu.
