OK, so I just installed Windows XP RC2 on my 1200...............why, I don't know.
Pen still doesn't work in XP, just like in Windows 2000 that I had installed.
Ans now the screen won't fit, it is like I am viewing about 75 or 80 percent of the top left of what would be the entire screen. I have gone into the display properties and it is set to 800 by 600 and won't go any lower.
I guess I create one problem after another, no pen support and now screen problem!
Guess I just need to stop trying to make my 1200 into a Windows supercomputer.

One more thing on this screen size note.
The beginning start-up splash screen for Windows XP fits the screen just right.
So why doesn't windows xp fit or give me the option to fit it?!

I have read your post about Win2000 and Win XP. The problem with the screen is that it needs to be set to 640 x 480 if Windows detected the video chipset then you should be able to lower the settings. Did you try to re-install the pen drivers in the newer versions of windows. If you reloaded the OS then you have to reload the pendrivers. The drivers for windows are not loaded automatically. The are installed as a windows component not as regular software or hardware. I am not sure that it will work in windows 2000 as the "have disk" option is not on the screen where you select the windows component to add. There is a built-in on-screen keyboard (kinda large though) in windows 2000. The windows help will show you how to install it. Also what configuration are you using to get Win2000 to boot. My system would not boot when I installed win 2000. How much memory do you have running.

I will try to figure out how to reinstall the pen drivers as a component.
As for Windows 2000 and now Windows XP, I just installed them and they work. The only thing I can think maybe that I did differently than you would be that I did not have it convert the hard drive to NTFS, I had it leave the disk as FAT file system. I did this because it would be easier to go back to Windows 95 or 98 that way. And I have noticed that Windows XP did not change it automatically to NTFS either. I thought Windows XP REQUIRED a NTFS files system drive.
