| In Win95 handwriting recognition works fine in applications. I.e. I could write in this text box here, and it would convert it to text. Also i could write the url in IE4 (IE5 too, but it does not seem to want to work in Win95), and it will convert it as well. Now, in Win98SE it does not do this. There is the normal "A" in the url box, I can click it, then choose handwriting, and a bigger box opens below it where I can type the URL. That I can deal with. But I cannot write in regular web pages. Cannot compose emails, fill out forms, etc. Same thing with WordPad. In Win95 I can simply write in it...in Win98SE I can write, but it does not convert to text. It acts like it will, i.e. the handwriting will disappear, but no text comes up in its place.
Just FYI, I do have the handwriting recognition program installed in 98. That's how I am able to indirectly write a url in for IE5.
Can anyone help? Thanks for your time! | |
