I'm using Windows Me on my Stylistic 1200(80MB RAM, 20Gig HD). If I start Windows with the GPS (Rand McNally) attached to COM1, it thinks it's a serial mouse and the pointer jumps around the screen and the port becomes unavailable. How can I disable the serial mouse detection in WinMe? I could only find out how to fix this on NT/2000 from Microsoft. If I connect the GPS after booting, it works fine.
Thanks,
Charles

I had the same problem in win98...I personally never got the problem fixed, but if you look back a few topics, there was an answer in it...I think it might have been in the gps/mp3 topic.http://www.geocities.com/mr_bubba_zanetti/
