The hard drive (2.1GB) recently "self destructed" on my Stylistic 1200 and all I can purchase is a 6GB or more. I cannot for the life of me get the Stylistic to boot the new drive (after re-imaging) even though it recognises it (doesn't seem to find an operatring system) in BIOS (which has been updated by the way thru the Fujitsu site). Has anyone managed to install a drive larger than 2.1GB that worked and what modifications did you have to do (or maybe what were the specs, etc). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Nick.

RE:Help !! Cannot read my 1200 HD (modified 0 times)
Hi Nick, Don't know if I can help but I'll try. I have a 6g fuji in my 1200 I also tried a 10g but didn't work so I think the cutoff is 8g. I also had a heck of a time getting the 1200 to read the drive. Some of these 1200's came with a lock on their bios and would not let you change the drive settings in the bios, which was my case. I used the mfgconf file from the developers disk to unlock the bios and then I was able to enter the settings for the new drive.Don't know if this helps but at least you know that a 6g will work.

Are you referring to the Stylistic 1200 Developer Utilities disk? Where did you obtain that? I've been looking all over for it, and would love to get my hands on a copy.
