I have a Stylistic 500 with a TypeIII PCMCIA Harddrive. Anyone know of any USB devices that will read the TypeIII cards? Hopefully something for under $50. I messed up the HD and I need to install windows, or dos or anything on it it get it working. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Aw, nimec, you've got to be able to find someone to loan you their old laptop to reload your drive. What part of the country do you live in?

im in NJ. I rather get a card reader though, that way I can mess around with the HD when ever I want, or any other cards I may get.

This is the only one I've seen, new or used, that will take a TypeIII:http://www.datafabusa.com/usbreaders.htm There are plenty of internal models around for 5 or 10 bucks, if you've got an open bay.
