I have installed Win98 but can't get the speaker or headphones to work. Yes, I have set the BIOS and the Point 510 Setup dialog to turn on the speaker. When I play a sound in Sound Properties dialog, the Volume Control dialog does show there is output. I am using the ESS AudioDrive Playback (220) drivers. According to the Device Manager, the Sound controller is working propoerly. Any ideas? What I/O adresss/IRQ are you guys using? Thanks
Mine shows ES1688 AudioDrive from Microsoft 4-23-1999. IRQ 05 I/O 0220-022F and 0388-038B. Try removing in Device Manager and letting Windoze find it again. You didn't hit the sound-off hotpad, did you?
