To those of you who have installed 98 SE on your Point 510's, did you do anything special (via 98lite, etc) to get the suspend working the same way it was under win 95? Whenever I try it, I get an error "An application or device is preventing you from entering suspend mode, close all applications and try again" (or words to that effect) and I've shut everything down I can find.
I seem to remember that message when I had something screwed up, I think it was either a display adapter or infrared?? Try looking in device manager for either a ! or something you don't have.
Had same problem (win 98s & 98lite)... Finally fixed it when I de-activated the Adv. Power Man. support in system properties
e.g. open control panel -> open System -> open Device Manager -> open System device -> open Adv. Power Man. support via properties -> click disable.... -> reboot
hopefully that'll work (unfortunately it gets rid of battery meter too - oh well)
Disabling advanced Power Management worked!, BTW my computer came with a "PM Setup program" which appears to be a fujitsu utility. It has a very nice battery meter bar If anyone's interested I'll try to put it up for ftp.
