Has anyone ordered from this person?

I ordered a Point 510 + stylus from swaredeals (amdes51@aol.com) on 2/22 and have not yet recieved anything. Email has not been returned except for one that said it was from a friend who had mailed the package and would get the tracking number to me. I never heard back. I am thinking about disputing the charge on my credit card and reporting to ebay.

Has anyone else had experience buying from this person?

Ray,

I've never needed to order from her, but I do know that Jaynie got a bit swamped with orders from another board and fell behind. Still no excuse to not answer mail, though. Hide the vinager and try a little honey at swaredeals@aol.com ;)

I figure I already provided the honey (or is that money?), I just want to know that I haven't been "taken". I pay my cards off in full each month and if I pay this one, I won't be able to dispute the charge if I need to.

I live close to her place and bought two 510's a few weeks ago. One of them died and after trying to communicate with her via email unsuccessfully, went to her place and her friend mentioned that "Janie's won't be there for a few more days" but she'd check with her to get me a working unit. Next time I dropped by, her friend returned my money claiming that "there are no good ones left". This was while swaredeals had 15 items on ebay for sale. I took my money and ran ;)

Great, just what I wanted to hear...

I have another one that I ordered and Fedex lost it. Still waiting for another day or so before I contact my credit card for that one.

I was the person that organised the AVS power buy on 80 - 100 units....

Jaynie kept serious pressure on me to put everyone through for payment with promises of >50 A1 units in stock but my conclusion is it was all lies... She did get one batch out OK but after that I am 99% sure she was using the money put through and delaying tactics / lies to allow her to buy units with the money and then send them out... I am so happy that I did not trust her enough to process more than a few at a time..

A1 units arrives in poor condition and even though I pulled the plug on dealing with her a month ago about 4 people still need her to fulfil her commitment to send an A1 unit or catch up with chargers stylus's etc...

TOTAL NIGHTMARE !!

If you want mail me for her phone numbers

I just contacted the credit card company and disputed the charge. I have no patience for lies and lack of communication. Like I said, this is the second unit I have paid for and not recieved, the first being from a different seller and the problem seems to be Fedex. The problem is I'm not hearing much from this seller either.

I will now buy one from a member of this forum and keep my fingers crossed it goes well. I try to think the best of everyone but a couple of sour deals like this can create a lot of dis-trust. I purchase items off the internet on a regular basis and never had a problem. Now, the last two items I ordered have been a hassle.

I just hope the third times a charm...

Well, guys, seems I am one of the too many that were apparently "ripped off" by this person...
I ordered her a Pen 510 earlier in January. Since I am from Portugal, she agreed on sending the machine if I paid 30 USD for the S/H, which I did (I paid 182 USD total).
Two months after, not receiving the machine, I write to her, tell her I did not receive and that I want the refund. She apologises, says she never ripped off anybody and promises to send the money to my paypal account ASAP. Eight days later, not having received the money, I mail her again and again, not receiving any answer.
Now I decided to issue a fraud complain with SquareTrade and I am waiting.
Just to let you guys share my frustration... (although I recently decided to go ahead and buy a 1200 from other person and, man, it's BEAUTIFULL!)

I think you might want to talk to the postmaster, Mail fraud is a federal offense. You really need to break chops and they will finally look into it. It took me a few months but they did get my money back, (and it was a postal money order) Which turned out to be a blessing because they are the ones who have to track them if stolen or lost. Good Luck, as you most likey know goverment employess don;t like to work but if you hound them to death they will, Just wear them down.
