Quality of sound output?

What's the sound output like? Is there a lot of noise on the headphone output?

Basically, I'm asking how the 1200 would sound if I plug it into a decent amp and play MP3s through it. :)

Also, what's the maximum bitrate MP3s it will play? Will it do 320kbps 44.1Mhz? How about WMA files?

Sound output is good on the ones I've tested through my home stereo. As I've pointed out before, the 1200 works excellently with many soundcard DSP programs, which attests to the sonic purity of inputs and outputs on these units.

I've had no problem playing high bit rate MP3's or WMA files.
