I just got a 1200, loaded with the 2g HD and Win95. I just put inthe larger memory chip to boost it up to 80mg. I want to upgrade the OS to Win98se but I need the HD to be boosted up before I upgrade the software. Call me silly, but I only want to do it once.

What's the best HD upgrade for the 1200? Where do I get it?

Thanks

You can use just about any 2.5" laptop drive that's 12.5 mm or less in the 1200, but you'll have to fool the BIOS for anything over 8.4G. I've been selling Toshiba MK6409MAV's (http://www.toshiba.com/taissdd/products/features/MK6409-Over.shtml ) all set up with 98SE, 98LitePro, Fujitsu utilities and whatever else I might have for about $100, if that's what you want.

Wanderer,

Are you saying that the 6.4gig hardrives come pre-loaded with w98se and the pen drivers?

Essentially it's just plug and play?

Sounds good tome.

Where do I sign up?

I can set the new drive up to be plug and play, if that's what you want. Clicking the email link below is always a good way to get my attention.

I'd like to get a bigger HD, are you "recyclesave" or do I contact you another way? Thanks indeed.
