Looking for anyone to have the battery part number, brand, or some sort of guideline of where and what type of battery is needed inside the 1200 pen. I was missing mine for a while and do not have any battery to compare with or get a part number from.

The pen battery for the Stylistic 1000/1200/2300 is just an alkaline 1.5 volt AAAA battery. These are available from Radio Shack, Camera stores and the like.

Durcell 9V batteries are build around six AAAA batteries, breaking the case apart yeilds six batteries usable in the ST1000/2300 pen. Not all 9V bats are built the same, only Duracell is known, for sure, to be this way but others may have similar construction.

I have verified this, crack open a duracell 9V and you will find 6 AAAA batteries (they aren't as well sealed as the real AAAA batteries) and you will have to pull off some lightly soldered (stamped?) connectors, but it seems well worth the effort.
