Hi All,

Has anybody any suggestion on what to use for cleaning the touch screen on a Point 510? I have recently obtained several of these that have pretty grubby screens. Some are cleaning up fine with just a clean dry cloth but others need more help! I tried some tft screen cleaning solution that works well on tfts and it pretty much ruined the screen on one of them!

On a separate subject, I installed Windows 98 SE on a few of them and ran into problems when trying to suspend the machines. I noticed a few other people on the message board had the same issue and fixed it by disabling APM in Device Manager (which is a bit drastic as you lose the battery management features). I just thought that I'd report that I solved the issues using the Microsoft Power Management Troubleshooter Tool available from http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;Q185949&

Thanks in advance for any suggestions on the screen cleaning problem!

Funny you should mention that. I recently came across some information concerning screen polish/cleaning here:

http://www.positivesale.com/inpt510.htm

There is about a paragraph on it about half-way down the page with a link that is supposed to take you to the product they are recommending ... but it doesn't. There isn't any info on the product so you will have to contact them to see what they are selling.

I have always used Windex/Fantastik cleaners and a soft cloth. I haven't noticed any specific problems but now my curiosity is peaked. If you try their product maybe you could post a followup.
